Day one, Monday, 5/10/2010
We left the house at about 8:00 AM, stopped at Stewarts for coffee and a bagel and we were on our way. We saw an apple orchard on PA94 that had 20,000 acres of apple trees. There were trees for as far as you could see! We got to the Cordurus SP just outside of Hanover at about 3:30 and set up. It only took about 15 minutes. I hope the rest of the trip goes this smoothly! Gettysburg tomorrow!
Day two, Tuesday, 5/11/2010
We had a good night’s sleep and woke up at about 8:00. We took hot showers and drove to Gettysburg. We took a two-hour guided tour of the battlegrounds with Mr. Culp. He was very passionate about the Civil War and made you feel like you were actually reliving the whole experience. We had rain starting at about noon and into the night. We’re planning on being on the road early tomorrow and I hope to find internet access then.
Day three, Wednesday, 5/12 2010
We finally found internet access in West Virginia. Hi everyone! Things are going great so far. It was rainy all day yesterday but we tourned Gettysburg from the truck so it wasn't too bad. We're planning on finding a campground in a couple of hours.
Sounds like you are having a great trip except for the rain. It's rained up here also so you would have gotten wet trying to play outside anyway.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great vacation.
